Bürgenstock Festival CD edition

The Bürgenstock Festival Foundation’s collaboration with music label Mercury Classics/Deutsche Grammophon began with a gala chamber concert on 21 September 2014 in the Park Hotel Vitznau. The first wonderful fruit of this collaboration was the CD “Andreas Ottensamer: Brahms – The Hungarian Connection” released in March 2015. January 2016 saw the release of a CD by “The Clarinotts”, followed by Ottensamer’s debut with Decca Classics “New Era” in 2017 and "Blue Hour" with Yuja Wang and the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2019.

“It sounds freshly improvised, fiendishly virtuosic and tremendously multifaceted in their use of instruments and tones.”

“For his second solo album, the solo clarinettist from the Berlin Philharmonic has put together a memorable ensemble. Playing alongside Andreas Ottensamer are the violinist Leonidas Kavakos, the viola player Antoine Tamestit and brothers Christoph and Stephan Koncz. They all succeed in producing a truly admirable Brahms recording: full of longing, a romantic late autumn feel and flowing sweetness.”
