Summer Concerts 2025

Dear audience, we have missed you! All the more we are delighted to welcome you back to the Bürgenstock this year for two summer concerts in the chapel on June 6 and 7.

The programme, entitled “Folk passion meets baroque elegance”, ranges from solo performances to the full sound of a piano trio and is characterized by folk elements. We will hear Bohemian laments (Dvořák's Dumky Trio), Hungarian character sketches (Ravel's Tzigane), duos by Bartók for two violins based on Eastern European folk music and, of course, Kreisler's Gypsy Capriccio. The repertoire is complemented by Baroque works by Bach and Halvorsen/Händel.

Alongside artistic directors Andreas Ottensamer (clarinet) and José Gallardo (piano), internationally renowned soloists Maximilian Hornung (cello) and Barnabás Kelemen (violin), who have been closely associated to the Bürgenstock Festival for many years, will be performing. 17-year-old Gáspár Kelemen (violin) and another up-and-coming talent (as a surprise guest) will round off the ensemble.

Furthermore, we are very happy to have the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne at our side as an event partner. Director Chris Franzen's team will ensure that you and the musicians can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere around the concerts.
